PS4 Pro very loud - fixed

When my customer plays Fortnite and a few other games on his PS4 Pro, the fans make an unusually loud and disruptive noise, to the extent that it's difficult to hear anything else. I wanted to inquire whether this level of noise is considered normal, or if a dust build-up is the most probable cause for it.
Apprently it's not uncommon for loud Pro's, we have a thread here.
The PS4 Pro was maintained as follows:
Step 1: Initial Assessment Begin by conducting an initial assessment of the noisy PS4 Pro. Ask the customer about when the noise started, whether it occurs consistently during gaming, and if any recent changes or incidents might be related. Ensure the PS4 Pro is placed on a stable, well-ventilated surface.
Step 2: Visual Inspection Carefully open the PS4 Pro to perform a visual inspection. Check for any visible dust accumulation on internal components, particularly the cooling fan and heatsink. Also, inspect for loose or damaged cables that might cause vibrations or rattling.
Step 3: Cleaning and Maintenance
Dust Removal: If dust is found, gently clean the internal components using compressed air. Pay special attention to the cooling fan and heatsink. Remove as much dust as possible to ensure optimal airflow.
Cable Check: Verify the condition and tightness of all internal cables and connections. Re-seat any loose cables and ensure they are secured properly.
Step 4: Thermal Paste Replacement If the PS4 Pro continues to make excessive noise after cleaning, consider replacing the thermal paste on the CPU and GPU. Over time, the thermal paste can deteriorate and lead to overheating.
Step 5: Test and Monitor Assemble the PS4 Pro, ensuring that all components are properly reconnected. Power on the console and run performance-intensive games or applications to monitor the noise level. Ensure that the noise has decreased to an acceptable level.
Step 6: Customer Communication Contact the customer to inform them of the repairs performed and the current status of the PS4 Pro. Discuss the reduction in noise and whether any additional issues were discovered during the repair process.
Step 7: Quality Assurance Perform a final quality check to ensure that the PS4 Pro is functioning correctly, with no unusual noise. Test various games and applications to verify that the noise issue has been resolved.
Step 8: Return and Follow-Up Arrange for the safe return of the repaired PS4 Pro to the customer. Provide them with care instructions to maintain optimal performance, such as periodic cleaning of the cooling system. Follow up with the customer after a few weeks to ensure the noise problem has not recurred.
Step 9: Documentation Document all repair actions taken, including cleaning, cable checks, thermal paste replacement, and any parts used. This documentation will be valuable for future reference and warranty purposes.
By following this repair plan, I can effectively address the issue of a very noisy PS4 Pro and ensure that it operates quietly and efficiently for the customer's gaming enjoyment.
